TSMU hosts investment summit for Tripura in New Delhi

Agartala, June 28 (UNI) Tripura Santiniketan Medical College (TSMC) has announced to hold an investment summit in Constitution Club at New Delhi on September 10 to highlight Tripura’s industry and investment prospects.
TSMC President Malay Pit, in a statement today, said Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has been invited to inaugurate the summit and highlight the strength of Tripura to attract investment in health, education, and the manufacturing industry sectors.
“We shall promote an investment-friendly environment and emerging infrastructure. The summit will project the success of participation of women entrepreneurs on a national platform, which in turn is believed to further encourage investment. We want the entire nation to know about the positive change happening here and the dreams being fulfilled by our entrepreneurs,” Pit mentioned.
A vision is taking shape in Tripura, which will transform the state into a prominent hub of industry and education, Pit attributed, adding, “Backed by conviction and clear strategies, TSMC has already begun laying the groundwork for change. From improving infrastructure to creating employment opportunities and drawing back the skilled youth who have left the state, his initiatives are gaining momentum.”
He noted that in the first year of Tripura Santiniketan Medical College, students came from 21 states across India. However, local students choose to pursue medical education outside, but the state government wants all 150 seats to be filled by Tripura’s youth.
This institute will offer future-ready, tech-driven courses in telemedicine, pathology, tele-radiology, tele-ICU, and artificial intelligence. The goal is not just to create job-seekers but to nurture job creators equipped with international-level training. Course development is currently in progress.
Beyond undergraduate education, plans are being drawn up, supported by the state government, to introduce postgraduate programs and establish a nursing college offering Master’s-level courses. These steps are intended to build a strong foundation for a robust, self-reliant educational ecosystem
