Govt instructs to accelerate PM Surya Ghar scheme implementation

Patna, Sept 12 (UNI) The implementation of the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana in Patna district was reviewed on Saturday, with officials directed to accelerate the installation of rooftop solar panels and ensure that more eligible households are covered under the scheme.
The review meeting was held under the direction of District Magistrate Kundan Kumar and chaired by Deputy Development Commissioner Shubham Kumar. Progress related to solar panel installation, bank loans and authorised agencies was discussed in detail.
The Deputy Development Commissioner directed officials to specially motivate consumers using more than 300 units of electricity per month to install rooftop solar systems. The Executive Engineer, Electricity, was asked to provide municipal bodies with a list of such consumers.
