Puri, May 29 (UNI) Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (VKSA), a groundbreaking and historic initiative of the Government of India, will bring farmers into the economic mainstream of society, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said on Thursday.
He stated that the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare launched the VKSA at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Sakshi Gopal by planting saplings under the “Ek Ped Ma Ke Naam” campaign.
Majhi said that through this campaign, the government aims to reach about 1.5 crore farmers across 700 districts in the country, raising awareness about the application of new agricultural technologies.
