AIIMS Bhubaneswar to soon get CoE status for Sickle Cell disease management and research: Oram

Bhubaneswar, June 19 (UNI) AIIMS Bhubaneswar is set to be granted the status of a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for the management and research of Sickle Cell Disease (SCD).
Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram made the announcement on Thursday while attending the World Sickle Cell Awareness Day celebration at the institute.
Speaking at the event, Oram highlighted the significant role played by AIIMS Bhubaneswar in providing comprehensive care to SCD patients not only in Odisha but also in neighbouring states.
