AINU expands Eastern India footprint, opens eighth super-speciality hospital in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Nov 4 (UNI) Strengthening access to advanced kidney and urological care in Odisha, the Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology (AINU), one of India's leading super-speciality hospital networks, on Tuesday inaugurated its state-of-the-art hospital in Bhubaneswar.
The new facility marks AINU's eighth hospital in the country and another milestone in its 13-year journey of delivering specialised, patient-centric healthcare.
Popular Ollywood actor Sabyasachi Mishra graced the inauguration ceremony as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the hospital.
The launch assumes significance in view of the growing burden of kidney-related diseases in Odisha. An ICMR–NIHR study published in October 2026 found that 24.8 per cent of the 19,703 adults surveyed across 53 tribal communities in 14 tribal-dominated districts had impaired kidney function, highlighting the need for greater access to specialised renal healthcare.
The Bhubaneswar hospital will offer a comprehensive range of services, including Nephrology, Urology, Uro-Oncology, Robotic Surgery, Kidney Transplantation, Dialysis, Paediatric Urology, Andrology and Reconstructive Urology.
Its advanced infrastructure includes a 12-station dialysis unit, three operation theatres, advanced laser technologies, 3D laparoscopy, RIRS, PCNL, a 32-slice CT scanner and video urodynamics. A dedicated robotic-assisted urological surgery platform is also set to be introduced shortly.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mallikarjuna C, Managing Director, Chief Consultant Urologist and Robotic Surgeon at AINU, said the hospital network had treated over six lakh patients during its 13-year journey.
"With over 13 years of experience and six lakh patients treated, AINU is committed to delivering specialised care through clinical excellence and advanced technology. Our Bhubaneswar expansion will strengthen access to quality kidney and urological care for people across Odisha," he said.
Dr. Purna Chandra Reddy, Executive Director and Chief Consultant Urologist and Uro-Oncologist at AINU, said the expansion into Odisha reflected the organisation's commitment to making specialised uro-nephrology services more accessible.
"We aim to bring advanced technology, experienced clinicians and comprehensive treatment closer to patients and their families," he said.
Senior Consultant Dr. Prasant Nayak emphasised that the hospital would focus on evidence-based treatment, personalised care and advanced medical technology to serve the people of Odisha.
Asia Healthcare Holdings Chairman Vishal Bali observed that the new centre would address the growing need for specialised kidney and urological care in Odisha by bringing multiple services under one roof.
The group's CEO, Sandeep Guduru, said the Bhubaneswar facility would further strengthen AINU's presence in Eastern India.
With the launch of its new hospital, AINU aims to expand access to comprehensive kidney and urological healthcare in Odisha by combining advanced medical infrastructure, experienced specialists and a patient-centric approach.
