Two militants nabbed in Manipur

Imphal, June 24 (UNI) Two militants were nabbed in two separate operations during the last 24 hours, police said on Tuesday.

A joint team of security personnel apprehended an active cadre of the banned outfit, a militant from Kiyam Siphai Khong Ahanbi under Thoubal Police Station in Thoubal District.

In a follow-up operation, a militant from Sagolband Moirang Hanuba under Lamphel Police Station, Imphal West District, was arrested from his residence.

Meanwhile, in a separate series of operations focused on area domination and anti-insurgency efforts in vulnerable and fringe regions, security forces recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from the Kangchup Kharang area, Porom Ching under Lamsang Police Station, Imphal West District.
