Mamata urges Centre to call special Parliament session after MPs' diplomatic push

Kolkata, May 23 (UNI) Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday expressed her happiness over all-party delegations' visits abroad as part of the country's diplomatic outreach post-Pahalgam terror attack by Pakistan-backed terrorists. She said a special Parliament session should be called after the return of these MPs, drawn from both Houses, including from her party, the TMC.
Mamata had initially disagreed with the Union government for unilaterally naming TMC MP Yusuf Pathan as a member of the parliamentary team meant to articulate India's zero tolerance message against terrorism in global platforms following the Pahalgam massacre and the subsequent Operation Sindoor.
"I am glad to see an all-party delegation visiting various countries as part of India’s global outreach against terrorism," Banerjee, who is also Trinamool Congress chairperson, said.
