Dhenkanal to be made solar-rich district of Odisha: CM Majhi

Bhubaneswar, June 4 (UNI) Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced on Wednesday that Dhenkanal will be developed into a solar energy-rich district of Odisha.
Majhi, who inaugurated and laid foundation stones for various industrial projects worth over Rs. 50,000 crore in Dhenkanal, said, "Our goal is to make Dhenkanal district a solar energy-rich district of Odisha and a leading district in the state."
Out of the new industries inaugurated today, Rs. 30,000 crore are projects related to the solar energy sector alone.
"We will use solar energy as the main source of energy, not only for our state but also for the country," the Chief Minister stated.
Majhi also laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Baji Rout Sports Complex costing Rs. 120 crore.
The complex will include football fields, synthetic athletic tracks, a hockey training center, an indoor stadium, a swimming pool, and a 100-bed sports hostel, he added. UNI DP SSP
