Congress bats for participation of EBCs in politics in proportion to their proportion

Patna, June 1 (UNI) Congress on Sunday strongly advocated for the participation of Extremely Backward Classes(EBCs) in politics, in proportion to their population.
Shashi Bhushan Pandit, newly appointed President of EBC cell of Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee(BPCC), while addressing a function organised at the state headquarters of the party, said EBCs should be given their due rights. They should be given a stake in the political system of the country, in proportion to their population, he added.
" Congress will continue to struggle for social, educational, and economic empowerment of EBCs ", Pandit said, adding that their empowerment was on top priority of the party. Under the dynamic leadership of Rahul Gandhi, Congress was struggling hard to ensure justice to EBCs in the country, he further added. Under pressure from Congress and sustained efforts of Gandhi, the Narendra Modi government was forced to conduct a caste census at the national level, he claimed.
