BJP leader deserts party, joins RJD

Patna, May 30 (UNI) Senior BJP leader Radha Kant Gupta on Friday deserted his party and joined the RJD in a function organised at its state headquarters.
Principal General Secretary of RJD Ranvijay Shahu handed over membership slips to Gupta at a function organised on the occasion. He also granted membership slips to other leaders who joined the RJD.
Shahu, while welcoming them to his party, said that the need of the hour was to make sincere and committed efforts to protest the move of the Narendra Modi government to sabotage the constitutional provisions for running the country. All constitutional institutions were under attack during the regime of the Narendra Modi government, and they were forced to toe the line of RSS, he alleged.
