Tripura targets 500 MW renewable energy capacity by 2030

Agartala, Sep 10 (UNI) Tripura has set a target of achieving 500 megawatts of renewable energy capacity by 2030, said Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath, after launching Tripura Clean Energy Roadmap, Green Skilling Program and TREAT Initiative here.
The minister emphasised that renewable energy, especially solar energy, has evolved to become a significant driver of economic growth, technological innovation, employment generation, and sustainable development in Tripura.
The Unnayan through Transformative Solar Applications (UTSA) is a key initiative of the Government of Tripura aimed at creating skilled manpower for the expanding solar-energy sector.
