Patna, May 25 (UNI) A day after Tej Pratap shared his video with a girl claiming to be in a relationship with her for the last twelve years, he was expelled by RJD chief and his father Lalu Prasad from the party for six years while younger brother and senior party leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav also strongly disapproved his behaviour.
Tej Pratap had shared a video with a girl Anushka Yadav on his Facebook account and claimed to be in relationship with her for the last twelve years. He, had, however deleted the video from his facebook account and claimed that it was a fake video uploaded by someone else after hacking his account.
RJD chief Lalu Prasad, upset over the irresponsible behaviour of his elder son and sensing political damage for his party in the election year in Bihar, lost no time and expelled him from the party for six years. He also announced that his family would have no relation to Tej Pratap. No member of his family would keep any sort of relation with Tej Pratap, and he would remain completely ostracised from all social functions of the family, Lalu declared.
" In democracy, no one can be allowed to permitted lead such life while remaining in public life and behaviour of Tej Pratap would weaken the collective efforts and struggle of our party for social justice ", RJD chief maintained. Decorum, moral values and sanctity of life should be maintained while remaining in public life in a democracy, he stressed.
Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, younger brother of Tej Pratap said he could not tolerate such behaviour of his brother. Tej Pratap was elder to him and he had every right to decide for his personal life, he remarked.
" As an adult person Tej Pratap can do what does he like, but he would have to think personally about its repercussions and fallout", Tejashwi said, adding that he was the leader of the opposition in the Bihar assembly and would continue to work in the interest of the people of Bihar.
Tej Pratap on Saturday had posted a video with a girl Anushka Yadav, on his Facebook account, saying he had been in a relationship with her for the last twelve years.
Video had triggered much controversy, following which Tej Pratap withdrew the video from his Facebook account and claimed that his account had been hacked by someone.
Video was uploaded after hacking of his Facebook account by mischievous elements.
Tej Pratap was married to Aishwarya Rai in 2018, who is grand granddaughter of Daroga Prasad Rai, a former Chief Minister of Bihar. Chandrika Rai, her father was also an MLA. A divorce case of Tej Pratap and Aishwarya is pending in court.
