Saiyami Kher completes third Ironman 70.3, becomes first Indian actress to achieve feat

Mumbai, Sep 24 (UNI) Actress Saiyami Kher has added another endurance milestone to her name after completing the Ironman 70.3 in Cervia, Italy, on September 19.
With this, she has become the first Indian actress to complete this challenging race thrice.
Saiyami first participated in Ironman 70.3 in 2024 in Erkner-Brandenburg, Germany.
After this, in July 2025, she completed this race for the second time in Jönköping, Sweden. Now, after a year, she completed this challenge for the third time in Cervia, Italy.
Kher continued to prepare for the race alongside her professional work, cycling, running, swimming, and strength training.
She explained that the first race was a challenge to see if she could complete it, while the second race gave her a better understanding of the importance of preparation and hard work. In the third race, she took her past experiences and faced the challenge head-on.
The 34-year-old actress shared her experiences on social media, explaining that the two months leading up to the race were challenging.
During the trip, she had to spend considerable time communicating with the airline due to a problem with her bike bag.
Even after arriving in Italy, temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius and the presence of jellyfish in the sea during the race added to the challenge.
She said that despite these conditions, she finished the race in about 20 minutes less time than her previous Ironman 70.3 race.
Kher said that this sport has taught her that not every situation can be controlled, but how she responds to them can be controlled.
After completing Ironman 70.3 for the third time, the "Mirzya" actress called it her hat trick and jokingly said that now she will enjoy pizza instead of gels and tiramisu instead of electrolytes. UNI NST SAS
