MCD conducts 42 demolition actions across Delhi

New Delhi, Sept 22 (UNI) The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) carried out 42 demolition actions across the city on Tuesday as part of a city-wide crackdown on unauthorised constructions and building norm violations.
The civic body also sealed seven properties and issued three demolition orders during the enforcement drive conducted across all 12 zones.
The action targeted violations of the Master Plan of Delhi (MPD) and Building Bye-Laws, as well as structures identified as dangerous. Major demolition actions were reported from Sant Nagar, New Ashok Nagar, Laxmi Nagar, Teliwara, Shahdara, Geeta Colony, Ram Nagar, Sonia Vihar, Dilshad Garden, Dev Nagar, Bapa Nagar, Faiz Road, Dwarka, Palam Farms, Awantika, Rohini and Shakurpur, among other areas.
