INS Tarkash arrives in Mombasa for goodwill visit, strengthens India-Kenya maritime ties

New Delhi, Oct 1 (UNI) Indian Naval Ship (INS) Tarkash, a frontline stealth frigate, arrived at Mombasa, Kenya, for a goodwill port call as part of its ongoing deployment, reinforcing the longstanding maritime partnership between India and Kenya.
The visit underscores the close and multifaceted relationship between the two Indian Ocean nations, which share historical, cultural and strong people-to-people ties. India and Kenya have maintained longstanding maritime engagement and remain committed to strengthening cooperation between their navies.
During the port call, personnel of the Indian and Kenyan navies will participate in a series of professional and social engagements, including interactions, cross-learning activities and cultural exchanges aimed at sharing operational experiences and enhancing interoperability.
The visit will also feature community outreach initiatives, with naval personnel from the two countries participating in sports and community service activities to promote camaraderie and deepen mutual understanding.
The port call is part of India's efforts to strengthen maritime partnerships with friendly countries in the Indian Ocean Region and is in keeping with the spirit of MAHASAGAR (Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions).
