CBSE rolls out 5 Advanced NISHTHA courses for teachers, enrolment open till March 10

New Delhi, Oct 9 (UNI) The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced five advanced online courses for teachers and school heads under the second cycle of the NISHTHA programme for 2026-27, alongside two courses focused on foundational learning and early childhood education.
As per the CBSE Circular, the courses will be conducted during the October 2026–March 2027 cycle to strengthen the professional skills of teachers and school leaders.
The five advanced courses cover cyber hygiene practices for personal digital devices, environmental hazards associated with electronic waste, action research, and water conservation under the “Catch the Rain” initiative in English and Hindi.
The two proficiency courses — NISHTHA Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) and NISHTHA Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) — are intended for school heads and teachers at the foundational and preparatory stages, up to Grade 5.
The courses commenced on October 1, 2026. Enrolment will remain open until March 10, 2027, and the courses will close on March 15, 2027, according to the circular.
The CBSE has asked principals and heads of all affiliated schools to circulate the information and encourage teachers to participate. The board said continuous professional development helps educators adopt contemporary teaching methods, address emerging educational priorities and improve teaching-learning outcomes.
