ABVP, NSUI panels set stage for September 18 DUSU elections

New Delhi, Sep 11 (UNI) The contest for the Delhi University Students’ union (DUSU) elections 2026-27 has begun to take shape with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and National Students’ union of India (NSUI) announcing their panels for the four central posts, even as the university released a provisional list of candidates whose nomination papers were found valid during preliminary scrutiny.
The DUSU polls are scheduled to be held on September 18, with students attending day classes eligible to vote between 8.30 am and 1 pm and those enrolled in evening classes voting from 3 pm to 7.30 pm. The counting of votes will be taken up on September 19.
ABVP has fielded Yash Dabas for president, Ishu Maurya for vice president, Riya Chhawdi for secretary, and Lakshyaraj Singh for joint secretary. Dabas, a Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College graduate and current Buddhist Studies student at DU, is an international-level tennis player who has competed in ITF events and university competitions.
