Captain Smit Machchhar being shifted to Abu Dhabi for continued medical attention; Indian Ambassador meets brave Indian pilot

New Delhi, Oct 1 (UNI) FlyDubai's Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar, who suffered grievous injuries after being stabbed by his co-pilot onboard flight FZ 1073, has been shifted to Abu Dhabi for continued medical attention and recovery, the MEA said today.
The Indian Ambassador in the UAE also met Captain Machchhar in hospital and enquired about his well being.
In a late evening statement, the MEA said that the government continues to closely follow the health condition of Captain Smit Machchhar, an Indian national and the brave pilot of FlyDubai flight FZ 1073.

IMD warns of thunderstorms in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi on Oct 10-11

New Delhi, Oct 8 (UNI) The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds of 30-40 kmph, reaching up to 50 kmph in gusts, at isolated places across Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi on October 10 and 11. The weather agency has also issued a heavy rainfall warning for Uttarakhand on October 9.
