By-poll results a major blow to opposition parties like Congress, AAP & TMC: Malhotra

New Delhi, Oct 9 (UNI) Delhi BJP president Harsh Malhotra on Friday congratulated and extended his best wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National President Nitin Nabin, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari, NDA constituent party AINRC, and all the party workers on the unprecedented victories secured by the saffron party and allies in the parliamentary by-election in Assam, two Assembly by-polls in West Bengal, and Puducherry.
The Delhi BJP chief has said that, in addition to the Nagaon Lok Sabha by-election in Assam, the BJP candidate in Nandigram, West Bengal, registered a record victory with a margin of 1,29,914 votes.
Meanwhile, the BJP set a new milestone by winning the Muslim-majority Rejinagar seat by a margin of 75,816 votes.
Malhotra said that the BJP and NDA winning one Lok Sabha and three Assembly by-elections out of six, despite the intense disinformation campaign by the Congress and other opposition parties, clearly demonstrates that PM Modi’s popularity continues to remain intact among the people.
Delhi BJP chief strongly criticized the statement made by Aam Aadmi Party leader Saurabh Bharadwaj at a press conference today, claiming that PM Modi’s legacy was coming to an end.
He said that the results of today’s by-elections had dealt a major blow to parties such as the Congress, AAP and the Trinamool Congress, and that BJP’s victory in Rejinagar is proof of the people’s faith in PM Modi.
