Kharge seeks justice, accountability for Leh protest deaths

New Delhi, Sept 23 (UNI) Congress President and Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday paid homage to the four people killed during protests in Leh a year ago and called for a judicial inquiry into the September 24, 2025 violence to establish the full truth, fix accountability and ensure justice.
In a post on social media platform X on the eve of the first anniversary of the incident, Kharge said, "A year ago, four young people were shot in Leh during the agitation for the Democratic and Constitutional rights of the people of Ladakh. On Martyrs' Day, we pay our solemn homage to them and stand in complete solidarity with their families."
"The judicial inquiry into the tragic events of September 24 must establish the full truth, ensure accountability and deliver justice without fear or favour," he said.
