Strengthening ties, Sri Lanka’s JVP delegation to visit India on BJP’s invitation

New Delhi, Sep 26 (UNI) A five-member delegation of Sri Lanka’s ruling Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP), led by its General Secretary Tilvin Silva, will visit India from 27 September to 1 October at the invitation of the ruling BJP.

The visit aims to strengthen BJP–JVP engagement, facilitate the exchange of organisational experiences and further deepen ties between the two political parties, according to a statement by Vijay Chauthaiwale, in-charge of the party’s foreign affairs department.

The delegation also includes Chandrika Adikari (Central Committee Member), Aboobucker Athambawa (Member of Parliament), Kabilan Suntharamoorthy (District Committee Member) and Kalpana Madhubhashini (Member of International Department)

The delegation is scheduled to meet BJP president Nitin Nabin, General Secretary (organisation) B. L. Santhosh and other senior BJP leaders. The programme includes interactions with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.

They will also interact with various BJP morchas and departments at the party headquarters; visit the Parliament and the Delhi BJP state office, as per the statement.UNI VS AAB
