Punjab: Prominent farmer leader dies in road accident

Phagwara, Jun 22 (UNI) In a tragic incident, prominent and outspoken farmer leader Jathedar Kashmir Singh Jandiala, associated with the Bharti Kisan Union (Rajewal), lost his life in a road accident late last evening.

According to police information, the accident occurred while Jandiala was traveling on his motorcycle. A head-on collision with another motorcycle left him severely injured. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Jandiala was widely respected for his fearless leadership and vocal stance on farmers’ rights. His sudden demise has sent shockwaves through the farming community and is being mourned as a significant loss to the ongoing farmers’ movement in Punjab.

The police have registered case in this regard.
