Panchkula orders registration checks on meat shops near Budhanpur gurdwara

Panchkula, Nov 2 (UNI) Deputy Commissioner Satpal Sharma, on Monday, directed the municipal corporation to check the registration of meat shops near a gurdwara in Budhanpur and remove those operating without registration, following a complaint about difficulties faced by worshippers accessing the shrine.
Sharma issued the directions during a public grievance camp at the Mini Secretariat, where he heard five complaints and instructed the departments concerned to resolve them promptly.
The complaint alleged that unauthorised meat shops near the gurdwara were causing inconvenience to visitors. Sharma asked municipal officials to verify their registration and act against outlets operating without it.
Responding to another complaint, he directed a PMDA sub-divisional officer to clear overgrown bushes from the green belt behind houses in Sector 12.
Sharma said grievance camps were being organised under the Haryana government’s directions to provide timely solutions to residents’ problems. The camps are held every Monday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon in the Mini Secretariat auditorium, he said.
He asked officials to give priority to complaints and avoid delays.“There is no room for negligence,” Sharma said.
