Haryana CM Flying Squad seizes 70 kg of suspected adulterated paneer in Panchkula ahead of Diwali

Panchkula, Oct 22 (UNI) The Haryana Chief Minister's Flying Squad seized around 70 kg of suspected adulterated paneer during a raid in Panchkula on Thursday as authorities stepped up surveillance against food adulteration ahead of Diwali.
According to information received, the team carried out the operation as part of intensified checks on the quality of milk products and other food items being sold during the festive season.
The seized paneer was subsequently destroyed by burying it in the ground, and action was also initiated against the concerned company.
However, details of the company, the exact location of the seizure and the nature of the action taken were not immediately available. Laboratory findings confirming the composition of the seized paneer were also not provided.
The operation comes amid concerns over possible adulteration of dairy products, particularly paneer, sweets and other milk-based food items, as demand increases during the festive season.
Authorities have intensified monitoring of food products to safeguard consumers against potentially unsafe and substandard items.
