Hisar police arrest four in crackdown on crime, illegal arms and vehicle theft

Hisar, Oct 15 (UNI) Hisar Police have arrested four people in three separate cases involving a knife attack, illegal firearm possession and motorcycle theft, recovering an illegal .315-bore pistol and a motorcycle allegedly used in an assault, officials said on Thursday.
The arrests were made under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Siddhant Jain.
In the first case, police arrested Alex, a resident of Patel Nagar, for allegedly attacking Sameer with a knife after throwing chilli powder into his eyes on September 26.
According to police, Sameer was walking towards a grocery shop in the evening when the accused allegedly intercepted him, threw chilli powder into his eyes and stabbed him before fleeing.
The victim sustained a knife injury and required medical treatment, during which a doctor removed the knife from his body, police said.
Following a complaint, a case was registered and a team from the Police Lines Area (PLA) outpost arrested the accused from Guhla Cheeka. The motorcycle allegedly used in the attack was also recovered, they added.
In a separate operation, the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) arrested Pawan, son of Devi Lal, near Chakki Chopta in Sadalpur village and recovered an illegal .315-bore pistol from his possession.
CIA in-charge Inspector Karamjit said a team led by Head Constable Sandeep acted on specific intelligence inputs and intercepted the suspect in the Sadalpur area.
A case under the Arms Act was registered against Pawan at Adampur police station, police said.
In the third case, two Rajasthan residents were arrested on production warrants in connection with a motorcycle theft reported in Hisar in March.
The accused were identified as Angrez, son of Gurdeep, a resident of Futaki village in Bharatpur district, and Satyam, son of Ramavtar, from Titpuri village in Alwar district.
The case relates to a complaint filed by Hardik, a resident of Narnaund who was living in rented accommodation in Dogran Mohalla, Hisar.
Hardik had reported that his Hero HF Deluxe motorcycle, bearing registration number HR86C-6377, was stolen from outside his residence between 9 pm and 9.30 pm on March 16.
Police said the stolen motorcycle had already been recovered in connection with other criminal cases.
