Firozabad (UP), May 23 (UNI) A 33-year-old youth was stabbed to death after a minor dispute at a liquor shop in Uttar area of Firozabad district here in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, police sources said here.

Police sources said that the incident took place when some people were consuming alcohol at a local shop in Kakrau village on Friday afternoon.

"During this, Sanjay Yadav of the village interrupted another youth while he was talking loudly on the phone," they said.

Police sources said that as Sanjay came out of the shop the other youth attacked him with a sharp weapon injuring him seriously.

"On receiving the information, the police station reached the spot and the injured was taken to the district hospital where the doctor declared Sanjay dead," they said.

Superintendent of Police (City) Ravi Shankar Prasad said that information about the attacker is being gathered by looking at the CCTV footage of the surrounding area.

"Police teams have been formed," he said.
