Haryana extends UG, PG admission deadline to Oct 6 for 2026-27 academic session

Panchkula, Sep 24 (UNI) The Haryana Higher Education Department has extended the last date for admission to the first, second, third and fourth years of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to October 6, 2026, giving another opportunity to students who are yet to complete the admission process.
The Directorate General of Higher Education issued instructions to the registrars of all state universities and principals of government, government-aided, and self-financed colleges in Haryana on Thursday.
According to the order, the extension has been granted following requests from colleges and students to reopen the admission portal.
The department said the last date for admissions to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th years of UG and PG programmes for the 2026-27 academic session has now been extended up to October 6.
The move is aimed at facilitating the remaining students who could not complete their admissions within the earlier schedule.

Two children among six killed, over 20 injured, as tractor-trolley overturns in Haryana's Kurukshetra

Panchkula, Sep 24 (UNI) Six pilgrims, including two children and four women, were killed and more than 20 others injured after a tractor-trolley carrying around 30 people overturned near Pindarsi village in Haryana's Kurukshetra district on Thursday, officials said.
The pilgrims were travelling to Bagad Dham in Rajasthan when the accident occurred near Pindarsi.
