Haryana extends deputation, temporary transfers of college professors till Oct 31

Panchkula, Oct 1(UNI) The Haryana government has extended the deputation and temporary transfer of Assistant and Associate Professors serving in government colleges till October 31, 2026, or until the Model Online Transfer Drive is finalised, whichever is earlier.
The Higher Education Department, in an order issued on September 30, said the extension would apply only to those Assistant and Associate Professors whose deputation or temporary transfer is currently in force.
The continuation will also be subject to the availability of the present workload, making the extension conditional on teaching requirements at the institutions concerned.
The fresh directive has been issued in continuation of the department's June 22 order.
“This extension will be up to 31.10.2026 or till finalization of Model Online Transfer Drive, whichever is earlier,” the order said.
The department has directed strict compliance with the order.
