AAP fields MP Sanjeev Arora for Ludhiana West Assembly bypoll

Chandigarh (Punjab), Feb 26 (UNI) The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday named Rajya Sabha member Sanjeev Arora as its candidate for the Ludhiana West Assembly bypoll.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday, announced to field Rajya
Sabha MP Sanjiv Arora from Ludhiana West assembly constituency, where bye-elections are
to be conducted soon.
The bye-elections are necessitated by the demise of MLA Gurpreet Gogi on January 10.
After the party's announcement, speculations were rife that AAP National Convenor and former
Chief Minister of New Delhi Arvind Kejriwal would be sent to Rajya Sabha in place of Arora, who
is, reportedly, promised to be given a birth in Bhagwant Singh Mann government, after winning
the bye-elections.

Chandigarh, June 27 (UNI) The northwestern states of Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh have recorded robust growth in the direct selling sector, collectively generating over Rs 2,172 crore in sales during the financial year 2023–24. This represents a year-on-year growth of 15.71 per cent, according to survey data released by the Indian Direct Selling Association (IDSA) today.
