Rajasthan: RREC to put Small RE Parks; RE Projects to cater to needs of C&I, MSME units

Jaipur, Oct 1 (UNI) The Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RREC) - a state government enterprises - has planned to install Small Renewable Energy Parks (SRE Parks) and Renewable Energy Projects for catering to green energy needs of the commercial and industrial(C&I) consumers and MSMEs.
The RREC has perceived the initiative mainly for those commercial or industrial consumers who intend either to increase the use of the green energy in the total lower consumption or willing to meet their prescribed target or the voluntary self determined target of the renewable energy generation, a company release said here today.
Under the new intiatives, small RE parks and renewable energy project would be installed at the suitable places which would provide effectively managed platform for availability of renewable energy to consumers of the targeted category. The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises category of the consumers would be given priority in the inclusion in the new initiatives.
In the initial phase of the initiative, a 50-MW Solar Project will be installed in Jodhpur district, the release stated.
The RREC would coordinate with the willing and eligible consumers and industrial units, and also help in assessing and catering to their energy requirements.

Darjeeling’s ‘Sisne Paha’ frog shows extremely low genetic diversity: Study

Varanasi, Oct 1 (UNI) Research by scientists from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and Calcutta University has found extremely low genetic diversity in the Marbled Cascade Frog (Amolops marmoratus), known locally as 'Sisne Paha' or 'Sisne Pa', found in the Darjeeling and Kalimpong regions. Scientists have cited this as a serious conservation concern and urged the need to protect its population.

Himachal CM announces higher milk, apple procurement prices to boost rural economy

Shimla, October 1 (UNI) Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Thursday announced an increase in the support price of milk from December 1 and raised the procurement price of apples under the Market Intervention Scheme from Rs 12 to Rs 13 per kg, saying the measures would strengthen the rural economy and increase farmers’ incomes.
