Lucknow, Oct1 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) has approved 11 real estate projects across five districts of the state to boost investment and construction activity in the real estate sector.
These projects involve an estimated investment of Rs 2,086.06 crore and will lead to the development of 1,873 residential and commercial units.
The development of these projects will expand residential and commercial infrastructure in the concerned districts. It is also expected to stimulate economic activity in various construction-related sectors and create direct and indirect employment opportunities.

The projects were approved during the 215th Authority Meeting of UP RERA after detailed review. The meeting was held at the UP RERA headquarters and was chaired by the Chairman of the Authority, Sanjay Bhoosreddy.
The Authority stated that the approved projects will be developed in accordance with the provisions of the RERA Act, with a focus on closely monitoring their progress and ensuring that construction is completed within the prescribed timelines.
Among the 11 approved projects, Gautam Buddh Nagar accounts for the highest investment. Two residential projects have been approved in the district, involving a combined estimated investment of around Rs 1,800.36 crore. The projects will result in the development of 1,398 residential units.
Lucknow has the highest number of approved projects, with five projects receiving the Authority’s approval. These comprise two residential and three commercial projects, involving an estimated investment of around Rs 169.53 crore. Together, the projects will provide 198 units.
In Barabanki, one residential project has been approved with an estimated investment of around ₹5.78 crore. The project will comprise 53 residential units.
Ghaziabad has received approval for two residential projects, involving a combined estimated investment of Rs 106.84 crore. A total of 211 residential units are proposed to be developed under these projects.
In Moradabad, one commercial project has been approved with an estimated investment of around Rs3.55 crore. The project will comprise 13 units.
The proposed investment of Rs 2,086.06 crore in the projects approved by UP RERA is expected to benefit not only the real estate and construction sectors but also several allied industries, including construction materials, transportation, engineering and labour. The development of these projects is expected to stimulate economic activity at the local level and generate new direct and indirect employment opportunities.
State government policies aimed at promoting investment, along with efforts to streamline and simplify real estate-related processes, have also contributed to increased activity in the sector. With the expansion of housing and urban development projects across the state, the real estate sector continues to have significant potential for further growth and investment.
According to UP RERA, monitoring the development of registered projects and ensuring compliance with the rules is an important responsibility of the Authority. Emphasis will be placed on maintaining transparency in the approved projects, ensuring compliance with the prescribed provisions and completing development work within the specified timelines.
The objective of the Authority is to create a regulatory environment where promoters have a clear system to follow and the interests of homebuyers are effectively protected. Through these efforts, UP RERA is working to further strengthen trust and transparency in the real estate sector.
UP RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy said the Authority is continuously working to make the real estate sector in the state more organised, transparent and accountable. He said that, besides granting timely approvals to projects in accordance with the prescribed procedures, the Authority is also closely monitoring their progress to ensure compliance and timely development.
He said that UP RERA is working to ensure effective compliance with the provisions of the RERA Act and to maintain a clear and reliable system for both promoters and homebuyers. He added that the Authority will continue to promote balanced and well-planned real estate development in the state while protecting the interests of consumers.
