Rajnath, Yogi to flag off ‘Seva Sankalp Bike Yatra’ from Kashi to Vadnagar on Sept 17

Varanasi, Sep 15 (UNI) union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will flag off the ‘Seva Sankalp Bike Yatra’ from Kashi to Vadnagar on September 17 as part of the BJP’s month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life.
The BJP will organise various public service programmes across the country from September 17 to October 17 under the campaign.
The flag-off ceremony will be held at the Rudraksh Convention Centre here and will be attended by several dignitaries, including Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, union Minister Chirag Paswan, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, and state BJP president Pankaj Chaudhary.
UP Minister of State (Independent Charge) J P S Rathore said the journey from Kashi to Vadnagar and back is aimed at connecting the youth with public service and nation-building while drawing inspiration from Modi’s 25 years of public life, service and governance.
Around 500 ‘Seva Yatris’ will travel by motorcycles from Kashi to Vadnagar through 10 routes, covering 50 districts of Uttar Pradesh. The journey will include 88 overnight halts and 187 stops.
During the yatra, the participants will interact with beneficiaries of various government and welfare schemes and take part in service-oriented activities.
At Kashi Vishwanath Dham, the Seva Yatris will offer Ganga water to Baba Vishwanath, while havans will be performed at 11 havan kunds. The organisers said chanting of mantras by monks, performances by damru groups and blessings of saints would add a spiritual and cultural dimension to the event.
Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) national president and MP Hemang Joshi said the yatra was intended to connect young people with nation-building through public service.
Young Seva Yatris from different states will participate in the programme. During the journey, they will interact with Lakhpati Didis, Drone Didis, beneficiaries of cooperative schemes, youth and beneficiaries associated with PM SHRI, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas and Kendriya Vidyalayas.
BJP state general secretary Dilip Patel directed party workers to make arrangements for accommodation, food and other facilities for around 500 Seva Yatris arriving in Kashi from September 16.
BJP Kashi region president Ashok Chaurasia said different officials had been assigned responsibilities for organising programmes at Kashi Vishwanath Dham, the exhibition venue and the Rudraksh Convention Centre.
