Awareness session on H1N1 Influenza, seasonal diseases conducted at Lucknow Airport

Lucknow, Sep 18 (UNI) The Airport Health Organisation (APHO), Lucknow, conducted an awareness session on H1N1 Influenza and Seasonal Diseases at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (CCSIA), Lucknow, on Friday.
The session was addressed by Dr Syed Zulfeqar Ahmad, Regional Director, Health & Family Welfare, who sensitised participants about H1N1 influenza and seasonal diseases, including their symptoms and preventive measures.
Dr Nischay Kesari, Medical Officer, and Dr Jay Yadav, Public Health Specialist (PHS), also participated in the session.
Representatives from CISF, Lucknow International Airport Ltd. (LIAL), airlines, Immigration, Customs, Bureau of Immigration (BOI) and other airport stakeholders attended the awareness programme. The participants were sensitised to hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette and other preventive measures to help reduce the risk of transmission of seasonal illnesses and maintain a healthy airport environment.
The awareness session highlighted the importance of adopting appropriate hygiene and preventive practices, particularly in an airport environment with a large and diverse passenger and workforce population.
