HPSEB employees’ union raises 83 demands, seeks action on CM’s seven announcements

Shimla, October 12 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board (HPSEB) Employees’ union on Monday held a meeting with the board management to discuss 83 demands concerning employees and pensioners and seek implementation of seven announcements made by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu at the union’s 18th general convention.
Union president Nitish Bhardwaj and general secretary Prashant Sharma said in a joint statement that the discussions covered a 54-point charter of demands, 29 supplementary demands and pending orders related to the Chief Minister’s announcements.
The meeting was attended by Managing Director Aditya Negi, Director (Finance) Shravan Manta, Director (Operations) Dr M G Sharma and Executive Director Isha Thakur on behalf of the management, while state-level office-bearers represented the union.

Panchkula, Oct 20 (UNI) More than 1.29 lakh applications for electricity connections and load enhancement, involving a combined load of 2,412.949 MW, were pending with Haryana's northern and southern power distribution companies as of September-October 2025, according to figures cited by the state electricity regulator while granting a 25-year parallel distribution licence to Eleven Power Private Limited for Gurugram and Nuh districts.
