Lucknow Court rejects model Shraddha Dubey, sister and driver’s Bail Pleas

Lucknow, Oct 23 (UNI) A Chief Judicial Magistrate ( CJM) court in Lucknow on Friday rejected a bail application moved by Model Shraddha Dubey, accused in the murder case of businessman Shiva Sharma.

Shraddha's sister Rashmi Dubey and driver Tanveer alias Danish also received no relief.

Bail applications were filed on behalf of the three in the CJM court. The court denied bail, citing the seriousness of the crime. The accused will now appeal for bail in a higher court.

In the absence of the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) on Friday, acting Chief Judicial Magistrate Alok Verma dismissed the three applications after a hearing. The court ruled that there was no basis for bail and that the crime was extremely serious.

The CGM Court said, "The case is of a serious nature and is to be tried in the Sessions Court. Therefore, there is no valid ground for granting bail."

Shraddha Dubey, her sister Rashmi Dubey, and driver Danish, who are in Lucknow jail for the murder of businessman Shiva Sharma, filed a bail application in the Chief Judicial Magistrate's court.

Yesterday, the court had sent the trio to a 10-day judicial remand. The three accused, including Shraddha, were arrested from an apartment in Nagpur on Tuesday. They were interrogated for six and a half hours in Lucknow on Thursday. After this, all three were sent to jail for 10 days.

Businessman Shiva Sharma died after falling from Shraddha's apartment in Lucknow on October 9. Shiva's mother filed a murder complaint against Shraddha, who has been absconding since then.

Meanwhile, DCP Central Arpit Vijayvargiya said that the three accused arrested from Nagpur in the Shiva Sharma murder case have been interrogated in detail. Two mobile phones and other items recovered from them have been sealed and will be subjected to forensic examination.

He stated that the investigation is being conducted based on the facts revealed during the interrogation. Furthermore, an investigation is being conducted to determine who helped the accused during the last 10 days. Action will be taken against those who assisted the accused based on the evidence.

During her escape, Shraddha Dubey gave a nearly three-minute byte to a news agency. She declared herself innocent. She said, "Shiva's mother has made false allegations because she didn't like me at all."
