Lucknow, May 26 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav on Monday alleged that the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh has completely collapsed, and criminals have no fear of the law.
In a statement issued here, Akhilesh said, "Criminals are openly firing bullets. They are committing murders and have no fear of the law. Due to the wrong policies of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, UP has become a crime state. The BJP government's claim of zero tolerance on law and order has become zero."
He said that people are not safe even in the capital, Lucknow, under the BJP government. "Bullets are being fired in broad daylight in Lucknow. Gang wars are taking place. In Sarvodaya Nagar of the capital, Lucknow, a man was chased on the road and shot. In the Para of Lucknow, miscreants attacked and beat up a property dealer in his office with sticks," he said.
