BJP's local poll victories show voters have rejected Rahul Gandhi, INDIA bloc: Amit Shah

New Delhi, Oct 13 (UBI) union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday said the BJP's sweeping victories in Gujarat's local body elections and recent by polls and local elections in other states had demonstrated that voters had rejected Rahul Gandhi and the opposition INDIA bloc, predicting a fourth consecutive defeat for the Congress in the 2029 Lok Sabha elections.
In a post on X, Shah said the election results reflected continued public confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and indicated that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would return to power with an overwhelming majority in 2029.
"The people of the country stand firmly with Modi ji like a rock," Shah said, asserting that the latest electoral victories had once again exposed what he described as the falsehoods propagated by Rahul Gandhi and the INDIA alliance.
Shah claimed that the results signalled another decisive mandate for the NDA in the next general elections and that the Congress would face its fourth successive Lok Sabha defeat. KK
Shah's remarks came amid the BJP's claims of a strong performance in the latest round of elections, which the party has sought to portray as an endorsement of Modi's leadership and its political agenda. UNI KK CDS
