Akhilesh Yadav level serious allegations on electoral roll in UP

Lucknow, Oct 15 (UNI) Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav today levelled several serious allegations against the BJP and the Election Commission on electoral rolls in Uttar Pradesh.
He cautioned the SP workers of the alleged irregularities in the voter list, deletion of opposition voters' names, and the addition of fake votes, and urged them to remain vigilant.
He declared that this time, the scam will burst and claimed that with the support of the PDA, Muslim-Yadav voters, and young voters, the SP will win the elections.
Addressing a press conference here, Yadav alleged that multiple votes are being registered in the name of one person through irregularities in the voter list. He sarcastically said that one person casts one vote, while the BJP casts nine.

He raised questions about the voter list, citing the names of Vikas Yadav and Shambhu Shankar Sharma. Akhilesh said his party had filed complaints in 100 assembly constituencies. He appealed to SP workers to ensure their supporters' votes are added and no one's name is deleted incorrectly. He described the October 17 and 24 as crucial during the ECI special revision camp.
The SP president demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, saying the Election Commission's credibility had been lost. He alleged that the Commission had appeared to side with the ruling BJP on numerous occasions. He also alleged election rigging, referring to the Kundarki by-election.
Yadav said that no one from the PDA family was on election duty and there are questions about representation even at the ERO level in Kundarki. He alleged that the BJP attempts to add fake votes, delete the names of opposition voters, manipulate EVMs, and obtain victory certificates for losing candidates. These are all allegations that have not been independently verified.
Questioning foreign policy, he cited the deaths of Indian sailors abroad and the situation in Iran. He criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's foreign policy, saying the government's claims of being a world leader are hollow. He argued that if the Prime Minister had intervened in Iran, as he did in Pakistan, the situation regarding war and inflation could have been different.
Yadav, claiming the expansion of bank branches, said that people had disbelieved the promise of opening 6,000 bank branches during the Samajwadi Party government, but a record 300 branches were opened in a single day. He also mentioned the departure of Allahabad Bank from Uttar Pradesh and the departure of another bank during the festive season.
