Jammu, June 30 (UNI) The troops of the Indian Army and Border Security Force (BSF) have foiled an infiltration bid and nabbed a local guide suspected of facilitating the infiltrators along the Line of Control in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Official sources here today said that alert troops last night detected a suspicious movement in the Tarkundi area of Keri sector.
Keri sector is one of the prominent routes used in the past for infiltration by the terrorists.
"Infiltration attempt was foiled by the security forces while a local guide, suspected of facilitating the infiltrators, was nabbed," they said.
"The captured guide is under interrogation to ascertain the details on his cross-border links with terrorist outfits," they added.
They said that the Army, along with other sister concern agencies including BSF and J&K Police, are already on alert, particularly in connection with the Amarnath Yatra starting from July 2 with the flagging off of the first batch from Jammu-based Yatri Niwas.
