Thunderstorms, rain lash parts of Himachal

Shimla, May 31 (UNI) Thunderstorms, accompanied by lightning and gusty winds, swept through several districts of Himachal Pradesh on Saturday, bringing relief from the prevailing heat but also triggering concerns over localized disruptions.
Light rain was reported in parts of Shimla, Solan, Sirmaur, Kullu and Chamba districts, while higher wind speeds were recorded in Bilaspur (54 km/h), Neri (52 km/h), and Tabo (50 km/h), as per the Meteorological Centre in Shimla.
The state's maximum temperatures remained two to five degrees below normal in most areas. Una recorded the highest temperature at 38.8 degree Celsius, followed by Bilaspur (36.8 degree C), and Kangra (35.1 degree C).
