J&K: NIA Court frames charges against four accused persons under UAPA in Doda

Jammu, June 5 (UNI) The Additional District and Session Judge (Fast Track ) NIA Court on Thursday framed charges against four accused persons under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Doda, Sandeep Mehta said that a case was registered under relevant sections at Police Station Dessa in Doda on April 16, 2024 and investigation was entrusted to Ajay Anand, Dy SP Headquarters Doda.



The investigation was conducted in a very professional manner, and it was found that the accused persons, namely Muneer Hussain of Malwas, Dabra Pranoo, Tanveer Ahmed of Nilsoo Kulhand, Noor Alam of Baggar, Tehsil Assar, and Kunj Lal of Herani, Tehsil Assar, were involved in the commission of the crime.

Accordingly, a challan was produced in the Additional District and Session Judge (Fast Track ) NIA Court Doda for judicial determination.

During the trial, the Court found enough evidence to proceed further with the trial, and accordingly, the SSP said that on Thursday, the court framed charges against them, and they presently are in judicial custody.
