MSME workshop held in Baijnath, highlights GeM portal and e-commerce strategies for entrepreneurs

Baijnath, Sept 17 (UNI) The Industries Department organised a one-day awareness workshop for micro and small entrepreneurs at Baijnath on Wednesday under the Ministry of MSME's RAMP programme.
More than 55 entrepreneurs and self-help group members participated in the workshop, which focused on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM), Central Public Procurement Portal (CPPP), e-commerce strategies, market sustainability and fair competition.
GeM trainer Avinash Kumar Sharma explained registration, product listing and government procurement procedures, while Ashwini Thakur highlighted digital payments, social media marketing, online branding, packaging and financial management.
CCI State Resource Person and former HAS officer R R Patyal briefed participants on competition law, fair competition and ethical business practices.
The workshop also discussed linking One District One Product (ODOP) with GeM to provide local producers and artisans wider access to government buyers.
More than 10 entrepreneurs were registered on the GeM portal on the spot, officials said.
