AP Govt. targets to achieve 6.5GW capacity data centre by 2030

Vijayawada, Sept 10 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh ITE&C department Secretary Katamaneni Bhaskar said that the government has set a goal to achieve a Data Center capacity of 6.5 GW by 2030.
Addressing the district Collectors conference on the Data centres, IT&GCC, Electronics and Semiconductors at Amaravati, near here, on Thursday, he said that instructions were issued to the district administration to expedite land acquisition for data center projects in the Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, and Vizianagaram regions.
He said that foundation stone would be laid soon for the Quantum Towers T1 and T2 at Amaravati, adding that steps were taken to establish a Quantum Hardware Park by identifying 250 acres of land in or near the main capital region of Amaravati to develop the ecosystem required for quantum hardware manufacturing.
