AP: Anakapalli Police arrest 199 persons in 72 drug cases

Anakapalli (Andhra Pradesh), Sep 28 (UNI) Anakapalli district police have arrested 199 persons in 72 narcotics cases registered this year and seized 2,856.573 kg of ganja, 26.06 kg of hashish oil and 80 vehicles, police said on Monday.
The seizures were recorded up to September 27 as part of the district police's drive against narcotics trafficking.
During August, police registered five cases, arrested 14 persons and seized 76.48 kg of ganja and 14.7 kg of hashish oil.

Repalle, Oct 1 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu Thursday announced that the government will approach the Supreme Court on the AP High Court’s verdict, dismissing the government’s decision to provide 34 per cent reservations to the BCs in the rural urban bodies and 33.33 per cent reservations in the urban local bodies in the ensuing elections. .
