Telangana Police Apprehend QNET Promoter Dig Vijay Singh at Delhi Airport in financial fraud

Hyderabad, Oct 17 (UNI) The Hyderabad Central Crime Station (CCS) police have apprehended Dig Vijay Singh, a partner and promoter of QNET, at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi while he was allegedly attempting to travel to Dubai, in connection with cases involving an alleged large-scale financial fraud linked to QNET and Vihaan Direct Selling (India) Pvt. Ltd, police said on Saturday.
Singh, identified as accused A-11, was detained at the airport recently, pursuant to a Look Out Circular (LOC), Hyderabad city police said in a release.
A special team from the CCS Detective Department subsequently took him into custody at the IGI Airport Police Station, Terminal III.
The case pertains to allegations that QNET and its associates induced people to invest substantial amounts through multi-level marketing, binary business models and e-commerce activities by promising lucrative commissions, high returns and foreign trips.
Investigators allege that Singh was a V-Partner and a key member of the QNET network, operating business activities associated with the company from Dubai and promoting the scheme through Zoom meetings and social media platforms.
The police are also examining the alleged involvement of foreign nationals and possible cross-border links.
During interrogation, police seized two mobile phones from Singh.
He was produced before a competent court in Delhi, which granted transit remand for his production before the concerned court in Hyderabad.
The investigating agency said it would seek police custody for further interrogation into his alleged role, financial transactions and the activities of other persons linked to the scheme.
According to the police, investigations across multiple cases indicate that the alleged fraud could involve approximately Rs 10,000 crore, with lakhs of people reportedly affected.
In the cases being investigated by the Hyderabad CCS, 43 victims have so far been examined, involving an amount of nearly Rs 5 crore.
Police have also frozen a bank account of Vihaan Direct Selling (India) Pvt. Ltd. containing Rs 4 crore, the press note said.
The investigation is continuing to establish the full extent of the alleged fraud, trace the flow of funds and identify the roles of the accused and their associates.
Efforts are also underway to apprehend other accused persons who remain absconding, the release said.
The case has been registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Telangana Protection of Depositors of Financial Establishments Act (TSPDFE Act), and the Prize Chits and Money Circulation Schemes (Banning) Act.
