After Srikanth, yet another TN Film actor arrested in drugs case

Chennai, June 26 (UNI) After popular actor Srikanth, yet another Tamil film actor Krishna was arrested today in connection with a drug (cocaine) case by the Anti-Narcotics Wing of the Chennai City police.
Police sources said apart from Krishna, who had acted in a variety of roles in several films as villain and character roles, another person identified as Jaswir alias Kevin was arrested.
Police have seized half grams of cocaine, 10.30 gms of Methamphetamine 02.75 gms of MDMA,
2.40 gms of OG Ganja, 30 gms of Ganja, 40 gms of OC paper, 40 gms of Ziplock covers, two weighing machines, one laptop, one cell phone and Rs 45,200 cash were seized from Kevin after
the police, investigating the case scientifically and using the technology, arrested the duo today with
adequate evidences.
Investigations revealed that Krishna had procured cocaine from Kevin on several occasions and had shared it with his friends and used it with them, besides sharing the place and locations where it could be consumed and procured through WhatsApp group.
Police have already arrested eight people after registering two cases following a midnight brawl at a popular pub at Nungambakkam area in the city on May 22 in which drugs, mainly cocaine was used and supplied.
Based on further investigations, police have arrested four people including actor Srikanth, Pradeepkumar, a Ghana National John and sacked Opposition AIADMK functionary Prasad
for sale, use and consumption of cocaine, two days back.
Police citing investigations said Srikanth was also said to have organised rave parties at his Nungambakkam residence in which cocaine was supplied to the visitors, that included those
linked to the film world.
With the arrest of two more, including Krishna today, a total of 14 people were arrested so far in the case after police launched a crackdown on drug menace.
Further investigations were on to ascertain the film world's link in cocaine usage and their possible links with the drug cartel.
