Congress names candidates for two Telangana Graduate MLC seats

Hyderabad, Sep 30 (UNI) The Congress party has finalised its candidates for the two Graduate MLC constituencies in Telangana going to biennial elections, with the party high command announcing the names late Tuesday night.
According to an AICC press release, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge approved Sama Rammohan Reddy as the party candidate for the Mahabubnagar-Rangareddy-Hyderabad Graduates' constituency and Ramreddy Sarvotham Reddy for the Nalgonda-Khammam-Warangal Graduates' constituency.
The announcement brings an end to the suspense over the Congress candidates for the two seats. Both nominees belong to the Reddy community.
Ramreddy Sarvotham Reddy is the son of late Congress leader and former minister Ramreddy Damodar Reddy of Suryapet district.
Sama Rammohan Reddy entered politics through the NSUI in 2003. He subsequently served as Rangareddy District DCC General Secretary, Telangana Youth Congress General Secretary and National Spokesperson of the Indian Youth Congress.
The AICC released the candidate list on September 29 ahead of the forthcoming Telangana Legislative Council elections from the Graduates' constituencies.
