Nasha Mukt Yuva Walkathon held from Charminar to City College

Hyderabad, Oct 4 (UNI) A “Nasha Mukt Yuva” Walkathon was organised by MY Bharat, Telangana, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS), to create awareness among youth about the harmful effects of substance abuse.
The walkathon began at the historic Charminar and concluded at Government City College on Sunday. It was flagged off by Rajya Sabha MP K. Laxman.
MY Bharat State Director Anvesh Chinthala urged youngsters to stay away from drugs, adopt healthy lifestyles and contribute to building a drug-free society.
NCB Hyderabad Assistant Director Vishal V. R. stressed the importance of youth awareness and collective action against substance abuse.
Addressing the participants, K Laxman said a healthy and drug-free youth population was essential for achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047. He noted that substance abuse affects not only individuals but also families and communities.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from youth and concluded with the singing of the National Anthem. Several MY Bharat, NSS and Sports Authority officials attended the event.
