Financial inclusion saturation campaign in Keralam from Oct 21 to Dec 31

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 23 (UNI) The nationwide Financial Inclusion Saturation Campaign, aimed at ensuring access to essential banking services and social security schemes for all citizens, is being conducted in Keralam from October 21 to December 31, 2026.
The Department of Financial Services under the union Ministry of Finance is organising the campaign across the country. In Keralam, the State Level Bankers' Committee (SLBC), in coordination with the state government, Lead District Managers, district administrations and banks, will organise special camps across Gram Panchayats and Urban Local Bodies.
At least one camp will be conducted in every local body during the campaign period to help eligible beneficiaries access banking services, complete pending formalities and enrol in various government-backed financial security schemes.
A key focus of the campaign will be opening bank accounts under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), particularly for households belonging to Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs). It will also facilitate enrolment in the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and Atal Pension Yojana (APY).
The initiative will also address pending re-KYC requirements in existing bank accounts, completion of Aadhaar seeding and Central KYC (C-KYC) formalities, and activation of inoperative accounts. Assistance will be provided to citizens seeking information on tracing and reclaiming unclaimed financial assets.
Updating nominations in bank accounts and other eligible facilities will also be facilitated as part of the campaign.
In addition to banking services, awareness sessions on financial literacy and digital fraud prevention will be organised to help citizens make informed financial decisions and protect themselves against online financial scams.
Citizens can also approach their respective bank branches during the campaign period to complete pending banking formalities and obtain information about the schemes for which they are eligible.
Enrolment under the PMJJBY and PMSBY insurance schemes will be carried out only with the explicit consent of the beneficiaries, the campaign guidelines said.
