BJP observes Balidan Diwas across Telangana in tribute to Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee

Hyderabad, June 23 (UNI) The Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) observed Balidan Diwas on Monday, marking the death anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh, at the party's state headquarters in Nampally.

Union Minister and Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy paid floral tributes at the BJP state office and hailed Dr Mukherjee’s contribution to national unity, especially his opposition to Article 370 and his sacrifice for the integration of Kashmir with India.

In a parallel event at Karimnagar, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, along with party leaders, paid homage by garlanding Dr Mukherjee’s portrait. He lauded Dr Mukherjee as a visionary who championed the cause of "One Nation, One Flag, One Constitution" and sacrificed his life for that ideology.
